Jonathan is a graduate of ComedySportz, The Second City Training Center in Chicago, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theater from Columbia College plus a Master's Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary. He is currently a doctoral student at Liberty University’s Rawling School of Theology.

Jon is a bestselling author, popular conference speaker, and Jon also coaches church leaders nationwide every week.

In 2019, Jonathan was recognized by Outreach Magazine & LifeWay Research for leading the 11th Fastest Growing Church in America.

In 2020, Jonathan was invited to The White House for a Special Briefing for Leaders of Faith.

Married 23 years to his high school sweetheart Amber, together they are raising 5 amazing children, all through the gift of adoption.
